About Me

Donald Willets LMHC

Mr Willets has held multiple senior clinical positions in both Out-Patient and Hospital settings.  He completed graduate studies in 1975 and later became Director of Outpatient Services and then Executive/Clinical Director for a Mental Health and Family Counseling Center in Pennsylvania.  As Director of Department of Psychiatry at the NPW Medical Center, he oversaw daily operations and clinical training for student Mental Health Professionals.

He received post-graduate training in Family Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York and later was mentored in Child and Adolescent care.  He managed the Adolescent Hospital Unit and Intensive Out-Patient programs for a private Psychiatric Hospital in Florida and co-developed the Adolescent Treatment Program and The Center for Counseling at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Today Mr. Willets manages a busy Private Practice where he cares for patients suffering from Depression, OCD and Other Anxiety Disorders, Family Relationship and Psychological Trauma.  He enjoys a close working relationship with many of our area Psychiatrists and frequently provides Psychotherapy for their patients.  Although most of his patients are referred by their doctors, he does try to keep some time available for patients who contact him directly.
